3 F's = A+

Blog F's.jpg

3 wrongs don't make a right. But, 3 lefts make a right. And in this case, 3 F's can make an A+. Kids, feel free to share this with your parents around report card time. Go ahead, it'll be fun.

We run a total of 30 Classes and Open Gym times each week. Some can seem random and unprepared. Other times, it's like a drill sergeant put on a blue beanie and started yelling "Good job!" Rest assured, there is always a game plan designed to help you reach your goals.

So how can 3 F's equal an A+? Each class we choose to focus on one or more of these F's.

FUN: Let's face it, exercise typically isn't fun.

But, it can be. Sometimes cranking up 90's Boy Bands, playing a silly warm up game or goofing around and not trying hard in the workout is the best thing for you. It's ok to have fun. It's ok to let off some steam. Enjoy yourself and get a little sweaty along the way.

FITNESS: At the end of the day, we are here to make you healthier.

Having fun is all well and good, but at the end of the day, we are here to lift up your life and make you healthier. This means some (most) classes are designed to straight up kick your butt. We want you to lift heavier, run faster, jump higher, and burn more calories than you ever thought possible. We want to see progress and that comes from putting in consistent hard work.

FINESSE: "Intricate and refined delicacy."

There is a subtle art to moving your body well with a barbell. Very few people do it naturally and we don't particularly like them, do we? They make everything look so easy and effortless. Most of us have to work on our form. Relentlessly. Some classes the coach is very focused on finessing a movement. Learning to do it better and more efficiently will help you be more productive with each workout.

So what does this mean for you? How can you get an A+?
Easy. Pick any one of those 3 F's. Every time you come to class, decide which you are going to do. Have Fun? Work hard on your Fitness? Finesse a movement and get better?
All 3 are necessary, but not all 3 can be done at the same time.

Put in work and get after your goals. But, have some fun along the way. We're here to help with all of those.
